Congregation
Service for Those Experiencing Grief

A Memorial Service for people experiencing loss or grief will be held in St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Dorrigo, on Thursday evening, November 8.

The service begins at 7 pm and anyone interested is warmly invited to attend.

“The night will be relaxed with plenty of music, quiet time and an opportunity to light candles to remember loved ones,” Rector of St Stephen’s, the Rev Vivian Hoskins said today.

“Most importantly, guests do not have to “do” anything; just enjoy an opportunity to be still and remember.

“Living with grief and loss is very common in any community and can be extremely demanding on individuals and families.

“While most of those coming to the service will be remembering loved ones who have died, the service also aims to support people experiencing other forms of loss such as employment, mobility and the breakdown of relationships.

If you know of anyone who would like to attend or would benefit, please invite them or bring them along.

The service will last about 45 minutes but will be opened ended.

“People may stay as long as they like.”
