Lent 2014 begins on Ash Wednesday, March 5, and Rev. Mike has outlined our study focus leading us to Holy Week and the Cross.
On Ash Wednesday there will be two services: morning at 8.30 a.m. and evening at 7.30 p.m.
Each service will be a solemn preparation for our Lenten period and will include the Imposition of Ash.
Everyone is invited to participate.
Lenten Studies will begin at 9.30 a.m. and will continue each Wednesday until the Wednesday of Holy Week.
“Our studies will be held in the church foyer and will be followed by a Morning Tea at 10.45 a.m. at A Touch of Country,” Rev. Mike said.
“This year our studies will be based upon the readings set for the previous Sunday.
“It means that each of us who participates will be able to explore in much greater depth the readings upon which we have already reflected.
“In doing so we will be drawn further into our personal faith and our walk with Jesus.
“Lent is a time of study, personal examination, prayer and deeper commitment to Christ.
“I encourage everyone to make an effort to participate.”
